There comes a point where the pull to tell your story can no longer be denied. The Author’s Pathway Writing Circle is the answer to that call. Step with us into a year-long nonfiction writing space for authors who are ready to bring their story into the world.
The Author’s Pathway Writing Circle is a small, guided cohort designed to help you move from idea or early draft to a complete manuscript over the course of one to two years, depending on your own journey.
Writers in this circle know that they have a story worth sharing that can no longer stay quiet, but also know that great writing comes to life in community. This is about a shared experience, collective encouragement, and knowing you are never alone.
Writers in this circle commit to a steady writing rhythm, structured support, and the shared journey of becoming authors together. Participants are expected to stay actively engaged through monthly meetings, weekly check-ins, and writing progress.
The goal is simple:
For the next 12 to 24 months, you will participate in a heart-centered, intentional space designed to support you in your journey toward a completed first draft of a nonfiction manuscript of approximately 50,000+ words.
And while we walk this journey together, we’ll move through several phases that are each purposefully designed to support you in your writing:
Phase 1: Awakening the Story
Phase 2: Building the Manuscript
Phase 3: Owning the Voice
Phase 4: Becoming the Author
While completion of the circle does not guarantee a publishing contract, it does prepare you for a meaningful publishing conversation with Wildly Free or your chosen publishing path.
The Wildly Free 3K Commitment: Write 3,000 words each month toward your manuscript.
The Community Commitment: Show up for your cohort and your writing partners.
The Story Commitment: Step fully into the identity of a Wildly Free Storyteller.
Wildly Free Energy
From the first moment when you join and receive your Wildly Free Storyteller Manifesto to the consistent personalized experience through all things Wildly Free, the writer’s circle will feel unique and consistently flowing with the kind of energy unique to Wildly Free and the whole team that is a part of bringing this circle to life.
Private Cohort Community Space
A dedicated Microsoft Teams environment will be a centerpoint for our circle to connect, share progress, and support one another throughout the year. This is a key component of staying connected, motivated, and engaged in every part of the process.
Weekly Writing Hour + Guidance Email
Every Monday, our Wildly Free team hosts a free Writing Empower Hour (5:00 PM PST I 6:00 PM MST I 7:00 PM CST I 8:00 PM EST) where you can come and step into an additional community filled with writers of all kinds. Structured support to help you maintain writing momentum through the Wildly Free 3K Commitment will also come in the form of a weekly email to keep you focused, on track, and inspired.
Weekly Accountibilibuddy Check-Ins
Each member of the Writer’s Circle will participate in low-stakes “accountibilibuddy” check-ins with 2 other partners (rotated each quarter) assigned by Wildly Free. This is a consistent rhythm designed to keep you moving forward even during busy seasons. Accountabilibuddy groups will meet weekly for 20–30 minutes and share progress toward their 3K goal, name one obstacle they are facing, and commit to next week’s milestone.
Monthly Author Circle Meetings
1st Monday of Each Month (6:00 PM PST I 7:00 PM MST I 8:00 PM CST I 9:00 PM EST)
Sharing space all together as a cohort is essential. This is a fundamental part of the program, and while all calls will be recorded, we highly encourage everyone to attend live as much as possible. This is a dedicated cohort space for coaching, reflection, and manuscript development alongside other authors walking the same path.
Editorial Support
Feedback is an essential component of any writer’s journey. Each time you reach a 5,000-word writing milestone in your writing journey, you unlock a 1,000-word editorial feedback review from both Wildly Free editors. Editorial milestone reviews are not line edits or a full manuscript edit, but they are designed for guidance, encouragement, and developmental direction.
Access to Specific Wildly Free Course Library Offerings
**All course offerings will also be accompanied by optional additional 1 on 1 or group workshop opportunities. Dates/pricing for those would be announced throughout the program.
Identity Development as an Author
Throughout the program, you will strengthen:
• your message
• your reader connection
• your author presence
• your confidence in carrying your story publicly
Who This Circle Is For
This writing circle is designed for nonfiction writers who:
• have a clear book idea
• are ready to commit 3–5 hours each week to writing
• want structured support and accountability
• are open to coaching and editorial feedback
• are ready to complete a manuscript within one year
You do not need an outline or draft to begin. You only need a story you are ready to write.
What Completion Looks Like
This is not a writing program. This is the space where your story learns how to stand, and at the end of the year, participants who complete the circle will will leave this circle not just with a manuscript, but as an author who knows how to carry their story into the world with:
• a full manuscript draft (approximately 50,000+ words)
• editorial feedback across the writing process
• a clarified title and message
• a clear brand and community-building mindset
• an emerging author identity and reader connection
• a choice for where to take the journey next:
Investment
The Author’s Pathway Writing Circle begins as a 12-month commitment with the option to extend into a 24-month commitment at the end of year 1:
Every author who completes the Author’s Pathway Writing Circle will also receive a discount on their publishing contract as a result of all of the work accomplished within this program! Each author’s publishing discount amount will be determined based on completion, manuscript readiness, and the level of publishing support still needed.
The Author’s Pathway Writing Circle is a bridge from manuscript to author identity and is intentionally limited to approximately 12 writers.
If you’ve been feeling the tug toward writing your own book, this circle was designed for you.
We would love to walk alongside you as you bring your story into the world.
The Author’s Pathway Writing Circle is not simply a writing program. It is a 1-2 year journey of choosing your story, your voice, and your work with intention.
Every author in the circle steps forward through three shared commitments. These commitments create the rhythm that carries each manuscript from idea to completion.
The Wildly Free 3K Commitment: A commitment to consistent progress
The goal is not urgency. The goal is steady forward movement.
You are not expected to write perfectly. You are expected to keep writing. This commitment transforms intention into pages.
The Community Commitment: A commitment to writing alongside others
The circle exists so that momentum does not disappear when the work becomes difficult. We move forward together.
The Story Commitment: A commitment to courage and authorship
Your manuscript is not only something you produce. It is something you become ready to live with, to carry, to embody.
At the end of this Author’s Pathway: Writing Circle, you will not only have written a manuscript. You will have lived inside the process of becoming an author.
